Junior Maths Challenge Winners

Horne finished 21st in the national final of the UK Team Maths Challenge Final in London on Monday 3rd July. Over 1200 schools entered the competition and, of these, 60 qualified for the national final via regional finals.
Earlier this term, Y7 and Y8 pupils from RGS were awarded:
21 Gold certificates, 23 Silver certificates and 14 Bronze certificates.
On the basis of their marks which placed them in the top 1000 of over 250 000 who sat the Challenge, Daniel Hughes, Luke Owen and Jack Scott Walker were invited to sit the Junior Mathematical Olympiad paper.
Daniel Hughes was awarded a bronze medal which means he was placed in the top 150 of the 1000 candidates who were invited to sit this exam.
