1st National Lacrosse Tournament
Friday 29th February

The first team had a very successful National Lacrosse Tournament. In our section on Friday our results were as follows:

v Sherborne won 4-1 with Megan Fairlie scoring a hat trick
v Cranbrook won 7-0
v Guildford High School lost 1-6
v Bedford won 3-2
v Caterham lost 2-7

These results meant that on Finals day we made it through to Division 1, a huge achievement (last year we were in Division 3) and the results were as follows:

v St Albans lost 1-4
v Walthamstow Hall lost 1-2
v Putney lost 1-4
v Godolphin (our section winners) won 2-1
v Malvern St James won 6-0

It was a great tournament and the girls worked well as a squad and never gave up.

Special mention should go to Alice Nebel and Megan Fairlie for being our top scorers, both scoring 5 goals each throughout the tournament.

Katie Bishop Captained the squad to great success, constantly encouraging the team and playing her best lacrosse yet, setting a great example to the whole squad.

Well done to the whole squad.

U15 National Lacrosse Tournament
Wednesday 27th February

The U15s had a fantastic National Lacrosse Tournament, the morning results were as follows:

v Stowe won 5-0
v Putney High lost 0-6
v Malvern St James drew 2-2
v St Bartholomews won 2-0
v Glenalmond College lost 1-2

At the end of the mornings events this placed us into Section 3 which meant we were one of the top 18 schools in the country – a great achievement by the girls.

The afternoon saw us facing the strongest opposition we have ever faced with the results as follows:

v Walthamstow Hall lost 0-1
v Haberdashers Elstree lost 0-4
v Queen Annes lost 0-4
v St Helens lost 0-2
v Berkhamstead lost 0-3

The girls played their hearts out, they never gave up and should be really proud of their achievement.

This meant we were placed 18th out of 52 schools.

v Malvern St James
Monday 25th February

1st won 9-8

Year 9 Junior Midlands
Saturday 2nd February

We had a very disappointing weekend at Junior Midlands (not unexpected) with the U14s losing to Moreton Hall, Pipers Corner, Malvern St James and Stowe A, therefore not making it through to the second round.
