Les Miserables - School Edition
Les Miserables Review
Just some comments from parents about the outstanding Les Miserable production - congratulations to all concerned especially Mr Simon Howell and Mr Mike Hamilton.1).
I was absolutely 'blown away' by last nights performance of Les Miserables! It was FANTASTIC!
The casting was perfect, with all the leads just brilliant in their respective parts.
It was clear you and your team must have devoted hours of time to pulling together what was a superb performance - worthy of any West End theatre!
Thanks once again and congratulations to you and all your cast in front of and behind the scenes.
2).
I was at last night's school performance of "Les Mis" and I thought it was absolutely outstanding. In fact it was the best amateur production of anything that I have ever seen! My daughter said "I loved every single moment!" and I felt the same. The songs stayed in my head all night and they are still there now!
Many congratulations to everyone involved - an incredible amount of work must have gone in to this production.
3).
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for an absoloutly fantastic show last night, I was blown away, I thought it was amazing and was so impressed with everything, the staging, the music, the acting, the singing it was just brilliant, I would quite happily watch that again and again, well done on all your hard work.
4).
Having attended the closing night I just wanted to say what a magnificent production. The artists surpassed themselves.
5).
This is just to say a huge thank you to you all for bringing the West End to Worcester! What a show – simply amazing!!
The 3 performances of ‘Les Mis’ which I came to were simply stunning - musically, visually and dramatically - and the last night standing ovation was more than well deserved!
As parents, we really appreciate the huge amounts of time you all put into creating a show like this and we are so grateful that our daughter has had the privilege and opportunity to be part of such an experience. It goes without saying that she enjoyed every minute of it! These are memories which will last a lifetime for both students and parents, as well as experiences which are inspirational and potentially life-changing.
So thank you, all, for dedicating so much of your time and energy to making this such a huge success – parts of it were definitely West End standard. There were so many stunning performances, it would be churlish to single anyone out - every single principal role was beautifully cast and sung, all the ensemble groups worked beautifully, the crowd scenes at the gates, the students’ marching scenes, etc, etc, all were beautifully choreographed and lit and the band did a fantastic job of keeping going for such a long period of time. It was, in short, an outstanding production and one which will be remembered, by many, for years to come.
Thank you and congratulations to you all.

Late we are in applauding you in writing, but that does not reduce either the quantity or quality of such applause. To say we were overwhelmed by the recent production of Les Mis remains an understatement.
We have been to many productions in our times throughout the world, both amateur and professional alike. We can even claim, to be partial to treading the boards ourselves. All of these experiences though, are completely and utterly secondary when compared to this recent production. Guys; the sheer quality of the wonder you Directed and Produced has to be simply the best theatre we have witnessed and I do not say this lightly or to misplace such respect to undeserving recipients. Do you really realise the magnitude of the achievement? The talent you have managed to nurture in each member of the cast is simply astonishing but it does not stop there. The live music, the lighting, the set, the back stage - we really know how complex and arduous all of these elements are to get right and to merge into a compelling unison.
We are so damned impressed. I know that I may be biased because our daughter was taking part, but I can honestly say I sat there thinking this is what makes the school fees worth every penny on its own. I returned each night to watch the second half standing on the side steps - I could not get enough. Thank you for giving us such joy and you deserve every accolade and superlative thrown at you. Without patronising you, we are so proud of you ALL and that is perhaps more difficult to convey being a new Year 7 parent.
Did it really eclipse the professionals - oh yes it did and quite simply because you could feel the passion.
