Will RGSAO retain the Modus Challenge Cup
RGSAO v King's at Sixways Stadium
Modus Challenge Cup
Wednesday, November 26, 2008 - Kick Off 7.30pm
Our annual 1st XV rugby fixture against The King’s School has become a major local sporting event in recent years, attracting large crowds of supporters. This year, in co-operation with Worcester Warriors and King’s School, we are again fortunate to be able to play the match in Sixways Stadium itself, for the Modus Challenge Cup. We are delighted to have had the encouragement and organisational support from Warriors and from Modus to enable this to happen. For reasons of safety, the event will be organised in the same way as last year, and I outline below the procedure for spectators:
1. There will be a nominal charge of £2 per ticket.
2. We strongly advise you to purchase tickets in advance either from RGSAO or King’s,
or via the Sixways Box Office (01905 454183). There may only be a limited supply available on the gate.
3. The kick-off will be at 7.30pm, and the gates will open at 5.30pm. Supporters are
advised to arrive in good time.
4. There is a limited amount of parking available at Sixways Stadium. Car park passes must be purchased in advance either from RGSAO or from the Sixways Box Office, priced at £2 each. These permits must be displayed in your front windscreen on entry to the ground. If you do not have a parking pass, parking will be available in the Wainwright Road trading estate, with the Warriors park and walk scheme also available, via Offerton Lane.
5. Pupils must not be dropped off or collected on Pershore Lane (A4538) or at the M5
Junction 6 roundabout. It is strongly recommended that parents dropping off or
picking up their children should do so by using the drop off point. The Police will be
present to ensure road safety.
6. Alcohol can only be bought and consumed by those over 25. This will be strictly
monitored, with no alcohol allowed to be brought onto the premises. Please read the
Sixways Stadium rules as they will be enforced before, during and after the event.
The rules are available on the RGSAO website (www.rgsao.org) and on the Warriors
website (www.warriors.co.uk).
7. Hospitality Suites will be available for hire. Please contact Helen Grayer, Warriors
Hospitality Co-ordinator, on 01905 459323 if you are interested. Please note that
young people under the age of 25 will not be allowed to occupy a box without the
presence of at least two parents who are willing to take responsibility for their
behaviour.
We hope that you and your family will wish to support this exciting event and very much wish to encourage a sporting and appreciative attitude towards all players, officials and other supporters.
We look forward to seeing you there.
