Young Voices

3 December 2007

Our Year 6 girls are tuning up in preparation for their debut at the NIA in Birmingham.

The children will be part of the world's largest children's choir concert to be held at the National Indoor Arena on Wednesday 5th December.  Organised by Young Voices, the concert is expected to attract over 1000 school children singing alongside big named celebrities including former Blue singer Lee Ryan.

Music Teacher Mrs Elizabeth McCabe said the whole experience had been hard work but tremendous fun.  "The children really enjoy their music, which is a very important part of normal school life."  she said.   "However, this has been a different experience altogether as many of the songs are pop medleys and so very relevant to the girls.  They have really enjoyed learning all the songs."

Parents and other members of the audience will also be able to join in a medley of '60s songs.
