Trip to Bosworth
11 January 2008
On the 11th January year five set out to go to Bosworth. It was quite cold and rainy. We got on the bus at 9.00am and set off to Bosworth battlefield at 10.30am we got there and changed into our wellies. Then a guide went on a walk with us. Recently Bosworth won a million pounds on the lottery and they discovered that the battle didn’t take place where they thought it did. So we were first school to go on the new walk. After the exhibition Mick the fletcher talked to us about how they made arrows and how some arrows couldn’t get through some of the armour. He also taught us that some of our surnames came from people’s jobs. By Lois Beaumont 5Wk
